abc2score
This freeware program converts abc notation to musical score. It can handle extremely large files with astonishing speed, the largest file in existence probably being my own 'Big List' which you can also download from this site.
There are many helpful features including transposition, search, midi saving and appending tools.
As a musician, I developed this program primarily for my own use and will continue to introduce additional features
To use the program you will also need to download and install the Ghostscript gs856w32.exe. There is a link below. Please ensure you install to C:\gs at the prompt.

Picture Puzzle
To begin you will be presented with an image which has been split into twenty-five segments set out randomly.
You task is to rearrange the image as quickly as possible. To do this just click on one portion of the image and then another and they will change places. Keep doing this until the image has been redrawn correctly.
You may at any time take a look at the completed image by hitting the 'Peek' button in the menu. You will get a two second glimpse.

Memory
At the beginning of the game you will get a glimpse of five playing cards chosen at random. The glimpse will last anything from 1 to 5 seconds. The choice is yours.
When your time is up you will then be presented with twenty-five playing cards which will contain your target cards. How fast can you find them. Just click on a card to select it.

Newsmailer
This program is designed to facilitate the sending of newsletters to a large audience. The program is simplicity itself and its use can be quickly mastered. Newsmailer is a desktop application and not a web based emailer, but of course you will still need to be online when using the application.
Incognito
The 'Incognito' program is a simple graphical user interface for the Mixminion Type III Anonymous Remailer (version 0.0.7.1) which allows the sending of untraceable emails. You can find out more about anonymous remailing at any of the websites I have linked to in the program.
To send an anonymous email simply click on 'New Message' under the File menu and a new 'email' window will appear. Type in the recipient's email address, a subject heading (just one word - no spaces) and then your message. Finally click on the 'Send Message Now' button. By default your message will be sent via two randomly selected remailers. Servers can be updated under the File menu, whilst all unsent mail can be dispatched using the flush button.
For your own personal security all records of emails sent are destroyed at the end of a session. You will have to make a backup copy of your messages if you wish to keep them.
I intend to develop this simple remailing aid into a more sophisticated program so visit my webpage on a regular basis to check for updates.

Download the zip file below which besides Incognito contains the Mixminion software. Simply unzip the package and put the folder wherever you like. You may want to create a shortcut for 'Incognito' and drag it onto you desktop to facilitate ease of use.
Noughts And Crosses
Also known as tic-tac-toe. The idea of the game is to get three noughts in a row, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally before the computer manages to get three crosses in a row.
A statistically record is kept of all the games played which you can access at any time. You are shown how many games you have played, how many you have won, how many you have lost and how many you have drawn.

Magic Square Game
The Magic Square game is a little like Noughts and Crosses except that the idea here is to get a row or column or diagonal to add up to 15. You are pitting your wits against the computer. To begin, click on the 'Game Options' popup to decide whether you or the computer goes first. On your move click on one of the small red squares (1 to 9) to select a number and then enter this number anywhere you like on the main grid by just clicking on the appropriate yellow square. (You are not allowed to enter a number in the centre square on your first move.) The computer will then respond with a move and then it is your turn again. Continue thus until either you or the computer wins or the game is a draw.

Conundrum
Find the hidden word in a jumble of eight letters. Click on one letter and then another and they will change places. Keep changing letters around until you find the hidden word.
If you really get stuck and can't find the word go to the Game Options menu and click on "Clue"and you will be told the first and last letters of the word. If you still can't figure the word out click the 'Give Up' button and all will be revealed.

Double Trouble
Another fiendishly difficult word game.
When you open 'Double Trouble' you will be presented with two words jumbled together one below the other. Your task is to find the hidden two words.
All the letters are in their correct numerical position in a word but may belong to the word above or below as the case may be. Simply clicking on a letter will change its place with the letter above or below and you continue thus changing letters until you find the two missing words.

Artificial Intelligence
Play this game as you would a normal game of Noughts and Crosses either going first yourself or allowing the computer to do so. To begin with the computer's moves are completely random except that the computer will recognise when it has two crosses in a row and complete the row with a third cross if it can. Likewise it will recognise when its opponent has two noughts in a row and will move to stop defeat. At this initial stage the computer does nothing else. It has no strategy whatsoever.
However the computer will learn from its mistakes and learn from its opponent as well. After a while it will develop a strategy and begin to implement it, playing at least as well as its opponent or even better.
Of course, if the computer's opponent plays badly and always loses then it will have no need to to develop a winning strategy since it will be winning anyway. Only when the computer begins to lose consisently will its artificial intelligence kick in.
Use the 'brainwash' button from the menu to completely erase the computer's memory bank so it will have to start learning and developing a strategy for winning all over again.

Email Program
Email.exe
A small program - only 21.9 kbs - written entirely in C which will enable you to send an email through the command line.
Usage: Filename SmtpServer To From
where:
FileName = text file containing the message
SmtpServer = server name e.g. smtp.domain.com
To = recipient's address e.g. myfriend@domain.com
From = sender's address e.g. me@domain.com
Example:
C:\email\email.exe C:\email\SampleMessage.txt smtp.domain.com myfriend@domain.com me@domain.com
Your message should be contained in your message text file and can include subject and other headers. Take a look at the sample file included.
